Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2025

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using DevBar (the "Service"), operated by DevBar Software Ltd. ("Company"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Service description

DevBar is a macOS menu bar application that aggregates developer workflow data from third-party platforms including, but not limited to, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Linear, PagerDuty, and others. The Service provides a unified view of pull requests, incidents, deployments, and related developer activity.

DevBar does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or completeness of data retrieved from third-party platforms. Availability of individual integrations depends on the APIs of those platforms.

3. User responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your API tokens and account credentials secure. Do not share tokens with unauthorised parties.
  • Ensuring you have the right to connect the third-party accounts you add to DevBar.
  • Using the Service in compliance with applicable laws and the terms of service of connected third-party platforms.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DevBar and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amounts you paid to DevBar in the twelve months preceding the claim.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
