Command Palette
One search box to rule all your platforms.
Opening the Palette
Press from anywhere inside the DevBar window.
Click the magnifying-glass tab at the top of the window — it opens the same palette.
Searching Across Platforms
Type any keyword and DevBar queries all connected platforms simultaneously. Results are ranked by recency and relevance and grouped by source.
Example queries
- checkout flow — finds GitHub PRs, Jira tickets, and Linear issues mentioning "checkout flow"
- incident — surfaces active PagerDuty incidents and Datadog alerts
- deploy — finds recent Terraform runs, CI pipelines, and Kubernetes deployments
Use arrow keys or j / k to navigate results. Press Enter to open the selected item in your browser.
AI Queries
Prefix your query with ? to ask an AI question grounded in your live data.
? what PRs are blocking the payment feature? ? summarise my open incidents ? which Jira tickets have been in progress for more than 5 days?
The AI synthesises answers from your connected platforms and cites the source items inline. No data leaves your machine to a third-party AI service — queries are processed through DevBar's backend.
Saved Searches
Save frequently used queries as quick-access shortcuts:
- 1Run a search in the palette.
- 2Click the bookmark icon next to the search field, or press ⌘S.
- 3Give the saved search a name.
- 4Access it from the palette by typing its name, or from the Saved tab.
Recent Items
The palette shows your five most recently opened items at the top when the search field is empty. This gives you fast access to whatever you were working on last without typing anything. Clear the recent list at any time in Settings → General → Clear Recent Items.
